Plumbing & heating Sample study

Steelhead Plumbing

A two-truck plumbing outfit whose only web presence was a Facebook page. This sample study builds the site a person with a burst pipe actually needs, a phone number they can hit with wet thumbs.

This is a sample case study. The company is invented and the results described are illustrative. It shows how I think about trades and home-service builds.

The situation

When your water heater dies, you don’t browse. You search, you skim, you call the first plumber who looks legit. Steelhead was losing those calls to bigger outfits with worse work, purely because their web presence was a logo and a five-year-old post.

The build

A site engineered around the panic call: a tap-to-call button that never leaves the screen, service areas listed plainly, license number up front, and photos of actual trucks and actual work. Every page loads in under a second on a bad connection, because emergencies don’t happen on wifi.

The result (illustrative)

Trades sites get judged on one number: calls. A build like this is measured with call tracking and tightened until the phone rings more. That’s the whole scoreboard.
